Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-08
1. Who we are
SponsorScope is operated by Volted Media ("we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@sponsorscope.ca.
2. Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account, using the website or using the SponsorScope browser extension, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you use SponsorScope for a company, you confirm you may accept these terms for it. You must be at least 18.
3. YouTube's Terms of Service
SponsorScope uses YouTube API Services. By using SponsorScope, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. SponsorScope is not made, endorsed or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
4. What SponsorScope does
SponsorScope looks up public information about YouTube channels through YouTube API Services and shows it with numbers we calculate from it: average views, engagement, upload pace, a niche, CPM ranges, estimated sponsorship prices, an estimate of where a channel's commenters are, brands found in video descriptions, and the business email addresses a creator has posted publicly in their own channel or video descriptions.
5. Estimates
Averages, engagement, niches, prices, audience figures and brand deals are calculated by SponsorScope and are not data from YouTube. Prices are SponsorScope estimates, not data from or approved by YouTube or Google. Estimates can be wrong and are not advice or a guarantee of what a creator will charge or deliver. Confirm numbers with the creator before you rely on them. SponsorScope never estimates age, gender, race, religion or any other protected attribute. A contact email marked Verified is one the creator published themselves (in their channel description, or in at least two video descriptions); SponsorScope never checks an inbox, and an address marked Unverified may belong to someone else, such as a guest or a sponsor.
6. Your account
Sign up with your own work email and keep your password private. Each account is for one person. You are responsible for activity on your account and its signed-in devices; you can sign devices out from your account page.
7. Free lookups, subscription and limits
Each account gets 5 free lookups, counted by distinct channel. After that, a monthly subscription is needed. Subscriptions are billed in advance each month in US dollars through Stripe and renew until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account; access continues until the end of the paid month and we don't give partial refunds unless the law requires it. If a payment fails, paid access stops until it succeeds.
A paid account has no limit on how many creators it can look up. All customers do share YouTube's daily capacity, so on a very busy day new lookups may have to wait until it resets at midnight Pacific time; channels already looked up that day still open. We may change prices or limits with notice by email; a price change applies from your next billing month.
8. Acceptable use
Don't: share your account; resell, publish or bulk-export SponsorScope or YouTube data; scrape SponsorScope or YouTube; use scripts or automation to make lookups; try to get around limits or security; use SponsorScope to single out or profile individual viewers or commenters; send unsolicited bulk email to the contact addresses it shows, or use them in any way that breaks anti-spam or privacy law; or use it in any way that breaks the YouTube Terms of Service or the law.
9. YouTube data
YouTube data is shown as YouTube provides it, kept for no more than 24 hours in a shared cache, and then deleted or refreshed. We don't sell it.
10. Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time from the account page; that cancels your subscription immediately. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Sections 5, 10, 11 and 12 continue after your account ends.
11. Disclaimers and liability
SponsorScope is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including deals made or lost based on estimates.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and the courts there have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new version date and email account holders about material changes. Continuing to use SponsorScope after a change means you accept it.
